Pair of Reversible Gilt Bronze Cassolettes/Candlestick Holders, 19th C. French
Artistic flourishes combined with subtle nods to empire style lines make this pair an excellent example of the Charles X period. Each domed lid is decorated with an engine-turned lozenge pattern and surmounted with a foliate finial. Tulip shaped bodies are mounted with likenesses of puttis and supported on circular pedestals with a matching lozenge pattern.
